Free for all: no changes in society; attempted quarantine, like in Hubei, China; moderate distancing: 75% adopt social distancing; extensive distancing: 87.5% (7 of 8 people) adopt social distancing. From The Washington Post, an article with simulations of the exponential spread of outbreaks, like coronavirus, and how to flatten the curve or minimize the number of people who become infected, which in turn would also minimize the number of deaths. If we distance, we save lives. See animated simulations for each scenario.

#LMDInspiration: Function and Design at Dior

Lily McCullough

Made of layers of patterns that shimmer optically, and LED lights, the NYC Dior facade moves with you as you walk past it. The Cannage Pattern is visible on a small scale when you're close to it. Get enough distance from it and you can see a much larger-scale version appear on the building. Nice. The pattern originally came from the rattan cane chairs at the Dior salon and has been applied to a variety of products over the years. LED lights make this a low maintenance, energy-saving solution and a standout signature — the best of all worlds.
